Privacy Policy

Date:  March 22, 2021

E.D.C. Technologies, Inc. (referred to in this policy as “EDC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a northern California-based business-to-business service provider with sales offices in Hawaii. EDC has developed a technology solution to assist property owner and manager customers more efficiently and effectively manage hot water systems in properties including multi-family buildings, hotels, senior care facilities, and commercial properties. EDC’s technology automatically controls a building’s water temperature by learning a property’s usage patterns to deliver safe and efficient hot water, while reducing wasted energy consumption, increasing user satisfaction, and reducing system maintenance costs. EDC’s solution also assists with other systems involving water or air temperature or flow regulation.

EDC is committed to protecting your privacy. Accordingly, EDC wrote this privacy policy to describe the kind of personal information EDC collects in connection with its service and using the savegas.com website, how it uses the collected personal information, and how it protects the personal information. This policy appears on our website.

1. Information we collect

   a.  Personal information collected from business representatives

When we refer to “business card information” in this policy we are referring to:

     • Name

     • Work email address

     • Title

     • Company name

     • Postal address

When we market our services, we may collect business card information from individuals representing past, present, or potential customers. If we provide services to a customer, we may collect payment information from an individual. Likewise, when we have a past, present, or potential business relationship with a vendor or business partner, we may collect business card information from the vendor’s or partner’s representative.

We obtain business card information when the individual provides it to us. We may also receive business card information via email, phone, videoconference, or in-person communications. We may also collect business card information about a customer, partner, or vendor representative from publicly-available social media.

   b. Personal information about persons occupying units in our customers’ buildings

Depending on what our service is used for, we may collect information about certain centralized units in customers’ buildings with ambient sensors. For instance, if a customer is using the service to control hot water temperature and flow, we will collect information about the unit’s usage of hot water in terms of temperature and volume. Other customers may use the service to regulate the flow and temperature of other infrastructural systems using water and air flow. We may collect information about specific building units’ use of water and air. In some cases, there may be people residing in these units and therefore, data concerning water and air usage may relate to persons residing in these units.

For the most part, however, our sensors collect information about water and air flow and temperature that is not personal information, as it is not associated with an individual or household.
